| Tax Clinic Training Session 2012 GIBC, February 11 9:00-10:30 This program is a free service to our community! The tax clinic is organized in coordination with Canada Revenue’s Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) which provides training and resources to volunteer tax clinic servicing low-income families. Tax Clinic is free for all individuals who have an income of $25,000 or less (single person) or $35,000 or less (couple) with an additional allowance of $2,000 per child. Volunteers at the clinic do not prepare returns for deceased or bankrupt individuals, individuals with capital gains/losses, self- employment or rental income, employment expenses and out-of province returns. We were able to complete over 150 returns and we made meaningful contacts in our neighbourhood! Thank God for this opportunity. Please come and let us assist you with your income tax return. Tax Clinic is open every Saturday in March from 1:00 PM to 17:00 PM. |
